I’m Sandy Sanderson, I’m a research-based, experimental artist. My practice explores the interplay between environment, science, and ritual.
My practice is rooted in relationality, an understanding of nature as a living, responsive force with which we are always in exchange.
My approach is transdisciplinary, I utilize diverse media, including installation, soft sculpture, film and organic materials articulate the awe and reverence I feel for Earth and the interconnectivity of natural systems.

Living with endometriosis and chronic pain has reshaped my practice, prioritising concept, collaboration, and working with the rhythm of my body. 
My works are an acknowledgment that we are always in conversation with unseen forces that shape our reality. They invite contemplation and curiosity about our place within this vast living system of earth.
